About the program

The Vacation Employment Program provides students currently undertaking full-time degree studies, for the first time, at an Australian recognized university with the opportunity to gain valuable learning opportunities and paid workplace experience in the Northern Territory Public Sector (NTPS).

Employment opportunities are restricted to the major university vacation periods.

The Vacation Employment Program provides paid short-term employment within NTPS agencies, starting at the AO1 level. The positions range from administrative to fieldwork, with the opportunity to gain a range of skills that may include database maintenance, communications, research, working with legislation and event coordination.
